I am new to this site and Indoor setups but not new to the game:bigjoint: anyways I am looking to setup a grow area,my question is say I use a cool tube for lighting now there is a intake and outlet for cooling of the light is there anyway to change up the ducting a little so it also draws fresh air into the room and sucks it out all on the same ducting?
the idea I have may or may not work so I'll run it by someone who has more knowledge in this field... Okay you have a intake from outside where ever running into the room, grow box etc.. that connects to the light, the other end goes out via inline exhaust fan etc.. now say adding a tee on the intake with some smaller ducting would that put fresh air into the grow chamber and doing the same on the exhaust side to draw it out?
If it helps this would be done in a 16 cft area, and 600 watt hid for lighting..

That should work just be sure to get a pretty good fan that will be able to push air through the light and into the room. Sounds like a good idea tho.

so lets say triple the recomended cfm fan for a 4x4 room...sound like that will do the trick?

yea that should work as the main focus is air exchange in the room. You might want to consider making the input duct going into the light smaller than the one distributing air to the room so not too much airflow is wasted flowing through the light. Not sure but think about it.
