Recently found something to be completely contradictory to my beliefs.
I lost my taste for THC about 15 years ago. The entire, uh "what was i talking about" and loosing my train of thought, feeling lost, over introspection - it just wasn't enjoyable and sometimes scary. Back in those days the texts said - too much sativa for you. But those like NL crosses, grapefruit, some other skunkish types (no thanks, the odor was an issue as well as mind*f) all were too strong.
Those cheap $50 lids of mexican schwagg... the old days, long ago when it sucked and it was ok. The occasional good bag was a treat.
Gave up on it for a decade... maybe had 7g in that time and that is a generous number.
Now dealing with chronic pain. Some from muscle spasms, some genuine completely sucking nerve pain. Would like something on occasion that doesn't make me constipated, grumpy and continues to work. Thought I would see about some options which "were for pain" in recreational dispensaries. Should have gone straight to a medical dispensary because the rec places seem to carry what is good for their reputation. 14.5-24% THC. I went to the indicas for the most part but everything was really a hybrid.
For the most part, didn't like most. Usually had too much. One toke is more than enough. Much to my surprise, I found the one I expected to be the most problematic (loss of train of thought, paranoia) was the most comforting. Old school Colombian Gold. Maybe I had learned that a light puff was enough but was surprised to find it worked the best for physical pain as well as not being mentally "challenging". 14.x% THC, from a dispensary in Salida. It was my last pick with the last of my cash. The nice person behind the counter was suggesting I go to the medical side but I was worried about the process and was low on cash.
Is this just because it is similar to the schwagg from my youth? It was nice, and I hope pure sativa, but that is rare these days.
Higher CBD / CBN with lower THC is what I expected I needed.
The strain I always liked the description of was "Flo" - maybe it was just well written. Always sounded like a lot of work, but maybe worth it. Have a gram to try out soon.
I would love to have some 3% THC / 10% CBD stain, or even lower THC to CBD and if needed bump it up with a dash of something higher in THC.
Vaguely remember some midget lemon plant from a seed producer that started with B being mild.
The CBD patches didn't work as well as I had hoped, CBN patch may have helped with sleep but it would take a couple hundred $ worth to confirm.
Any suggestions for strains which produce medicine as described reliably from seed? Don't care about yield, excessive odor not good, insane height is problematic. Would require lots of training
