Looking for a decent trimmer

So this year my plants are massive, and I’m expecting more work than I can handle. I think I’m going to need a powered trimmer, and ditch the shitty bowl trimmer. I know I’ll be taking a week off work either way.

My question is there an affordable trimmer worth getting?

here’s a pic of my plants and me, I’m 6’5” ......

Affordable and trimmer don't belong in the same sentence. The one I’ll be running is pretty much the cheapest you’ll get and that’s still 3 grand. That’s the Twister T6.

So I guess my next question is: I’m expecting 8lbs, and plan to take a week, is that a doable timeframe to hand trim? $3kUSD is to steep this year I think.

I’m going to be hand trimming 4-5lbs come end of October/November due to trimmer not being here until after this harvest. I am truly dreading it and even hoping I have enough time and have my doubts. Good luck with even more weight yikes.

My local shop rents out trimmers.
Not sure which models, but even offered a salad bowl trimmer as a loaner. -but told me it's shit from the start even with a new blade.

I live in a small town setting, I wish I had that service, I drive 2hrs to my “local” shop.

What about a trim bag?? Cheap and do a decent job, i plug mine into a drill instead of turning it by hand. Really getting after it you could trim it in a day(after you get it off plant and dry of course.) I usually only harvest 2 pound or so, and i get it cut and hung in 2 hours, and trimmed off stalk and in bag for 3 or 4 hours. So a day or so total.

Where are you located? I usually have to drive to Colorado from Houston to help trim, like 30 -40 plants. We trim for about 12 hours a day and listen to Bob Marley (how appropriate) and he pays me $200 a day. I'm there a week. IDK if there's a profession for this now that everybody's out of the closet, so I am NOT a professional, with a resume, but he likes my work and calls me back every year. He grows THC weed and CBD. We actually make our own CBD oil which is the real deal. I can't believe these companies selling CBD oil that's the color and consistency of olive oil. True CBD is black.

I went to a dispensary for the first time in my life Recently, believe me the bag trimmers are good enough.

I’m on the east coast.

Not saying there’s anything wrong with the trim bag per say but, it’s not for me personally. I personally won’t use anything that beats the shit out of my flower. That’s a lot of unnecessary lost trichs imo. I grow for quality and I’ve learned over my years of growing that beating the shit out of them doesn’t help the cause.

WOW! How do you keep your neighbors at bay? Just a rhetorical question.
