Long Time Smoker. First Time Grower

I've been researching a lot of things lately, and the people at rollitup sound like my kind of people and definitely know what they're talking about. So in light of this I've decided to join the crew. I'm from the 3rd coast and have recently acquired 5 clones (2 Topcat(which seems to be a semi local strain) 2 OG Kush, and 1 Perma Frost. I have a 400 watt Metal Halide light, and tomorrow marks the end of their second week of flowering. I have a sensei who I'm apprenticing for and has pretty much given me these 5 and the light to start me up. Everyone up here is getting legal, and my area has gone from the consistently worst brown found dog poop grass, to the promised land. I also have 15 Pepper Jack seeds from a hermed out female that are in seedling stage (approaching their 3rd week since sprouting).. I recently hung a 4 foot dual fluorescent light about 2 of 4 inches (depending on the seedling) above them. It's just a normal soul sucking office fluorescent light, but my sensei told me that any light will help them grow, they also sit in front of a window and catch the morning sun and go outside when it's warm enough to catch some true rays and some breezes to help strengthen their roots. I guess what I'm here for is to have people offer suggestions from their experiences and get some additional guidance as my progress develops. I'm very excited about getting on the ground floor out here, my first grow is not legit as I am not in possession of my card yet... So this first 8-10 weeks is all cloak and dagger, but the first dough I receive will go towards this being a true path. I look forward to any and all input.
