Can you lollipop an autoflower when it starts it’s vegetative grow? Just a question I been trying to figure out but couldn’t find answers lol

What's the point to lollipopping in early veg? Seems counterintuitive.

I can see it if they're a slow flowering auto but I've one strain that starts flowering at about 20 days and another that doesn't start till about day 30. Not much to take off at 20 days though.
