No seed banks in NYS right now as far as I can tell. The fine print on the recent law is that technically it's illegal to grow until 18 months after they have retail set up and open. After that the boilerplate is that it's a max of 6 plants per person (3 in veg, 3 in flower), with a max of 12 per household...though local municipalities can 'alter' those numbers downward to a 'non-zero number.' Meaning that theoretically your town could decide that you can only have two plants or you maybe can have the total 6 or whatever.

My niece lives in Brooklyn and my sister lives in Cortland. We're all part African descent. Can't hook you up with anyone in your area.

Whelp, since you can really order seeds from any bank in the US and probably also without problem from international vendors, it kinda does come off as lookin' for freebies, dunnit?

Seeds are not illegal to buy or own or accept in the mail.

For Christ's sake it's illegal to grow or smoke In my state of Aus and it's even legal for us to buy seeds as horticultural heirlooms.

For some reason people make it out to be so hard to find seeds. If it's out of the question to find a seed bank, socialise. I met a bunch of growers in my state and trade seeds.

I got a few starting seeds from a friend and consulted with another about buying seeds and all I’d need to know. 2 weeks laterI had seeds in my mailbox from California.
New York State is in a weird place. Legal to have up to 5 pounds in your house (and a few oz. on your person in the public) but not legal to buy in state or grow.
