first time cloner. I cut my 12 bubblegum clones yesterday. cut on 45 degree, dipped into clonex, placed into moist riot root cubes, then placed into tray with humidity doom. they are in the corner of my veg room under a 2 bulb t5, about 3.5 feet away the temp inside the doom is 80 degrees/ 60% humidity.
they looked good for couple hours but have slowly became severely limp and lifeless. the leaves feel almost damp....should I remove the doom?

I would leave the dome on personally I would just mist them Put the dome back on and leave for another day or so they could bounce back.

Are you using a heating mat? under that dome if not I suggest you get one to increase your success rate in cloning. Thats what I use and I always get roots in my Jiffy Plugs 7-8 days tops using the Dome/Tray/Heatingmat/Spray method.

Whats your light sched? 18/6 if so thats good thats how I do it.

Another thing too is when you clone you Cut/Dip/Stick into the plug you have to make sure there is a tight told around the stem and that no air gets down in there. The plug has to grab and hold the stem firmly.

This is how I get clones like these

the hydro store guy said I wouldn't need one since my room stays about 75 degrees. he said the dome would raise temps enough. Its 80 degrees inside dome right now

Your light could be fairly close if you wanted I have my shop light 2 inches above the top of the dome. My Clones seem to love it.

A simple 23 watt cfl would be enough till they are rooted. Humidity is a double edge sword, you need humidity to keep the girls from drying out and allowing the plant a chance to root. To much humidity(each grow has different conditions) and they go limp stop trying to root and go into survival mode. I do not use a hood at all because my grow room is 72-78 degrees and that seems to work for my girls. If your cloning is proper you will not see that droop, that limpness is telling you something. Keep the hood off at least until they stand up again then watch your humidity. If you are not using a hood a little mist every day will help speed the process up and make the girlies happy. Play around try a few different methods, you will find one that works in your environment.

yeah my veg room is about 60% hum with temps are 75. the clones are in the corner with the t5 over top. I was thinking they were getting to humid because the leaves were damp

they are COMPLETELY limp
not good bro they are in trouble and you should start again. Your cond are perfect 80 and 60%, the reason this happened is due to poor cloning technique, bad stem cut sick clones etc. I get no wilt at all at any stage of cloning, I use a clone box(old wooden chest of draws) not a dome with heat mats and a cfl.
