lights

ok i am growing in bud whith 1000 hps i was wondering what most people use for veg i wont to veg 2-3 feet what do you use. i got 3 in bud and wont one more 1000w for that but i was thinking 500w mh fore veg. and i use 200w cpfl fore my clone i just need ideas on good veg light.very appreciated ty?

Metal Halide Bulbs work great...or T5 like canibal said...I use led to veg so...really you could get some shop fluorescents and that will veg. I'd just get the 1000w MH bulb or conversion bulb if your on a hps ballast. Just my opinion.

i use t5 works great for me you can put the light almost ontop of the plant without burning. plus a lot less electric. hope this helps ya

cmh by philips is what i use for veg and me and my girls luv it i use eye hortilux hps for flower

I agree with the t5's, a little expensive (i have found 8 bulb 4' t5 HO with bulbs for $200 + shipping.) to start but veg like nothing else. The plants vegged under the t5 come out bushier with super close nodes and super fast growth. I can provide a link to the online store with the t5s or you can find the same price on ebay. Good luck.

how is penetration of the T5 verses say a cmh and also its coverage range --- i do know for a fact it is cooler to run -i know nothing else of its pros or cons - could someone help me here that knows both lights the ceramic metal highlite and the T5 big gun
