My plants have hit 50 many times, No noticeable effect. I think it depends on strain as well. I think your good, 60 is not low at all...

Although, it is not ideal, I also have had temps drop into low 50's here at night...
I have noticed, my plants seem to slow grow a bit...and clones have a harder time/longer time to root...
Since the middle of January, my over night temps have been 53-56 F in bud and veg rooms...
So far so good...

Any thing below 50 and you are in trouble. once or twice no big deal, every night = dead plants.

When the temp goes down the humiity goes up. once it reaches the DEW point, you run into Mold, root rot, rotton stem,

I like things to be about 68 deg when the lights come on in the morning. This is when it is at it's coldest in nature. The sun rizing across the horizon sends a mass of cold moving ahead of the light right at sun up. When you gow indoors you are trying to simulate nature and recreate what happens naturally. Keep an eye on the temp when the lights come on, let the room cool on its own, until it reaches about 68 deg and hold it there untill lights fire, at 68 fluids still travel back to the root mass Quickly, dew points won't be reached, keep the circulation fans going and mold won't be as big of a factor.
