lights from side and below plant?

I am planning to cover the entire wall of my mini grow box with led strips. It will add another 2000 lm. Is it a good idea? Will too much light shock the plant? and is it a good idea to shine light from side and bottom of leaves. its 8 days flowering and I need to do scrog.

Good from side. Bad from the bottom. And yes there is such thing as to much light.

If you are wiring these strips yourself consider wiring them where you can use some or all. I suggest a switch for each horizontal layer or vertical strip because, like the previous poster says, you can have too much light. Short answer without even considering all the available LED spectrum and plant needs. And multiple LEDs can darn sure put out some heat.
