Lights and Filter?

Hey I have a couple of quick questions.

Im building my own carbon filter and I'm wondering is it better to push or pull the air through the filter?

I'm going to use 250 watt HPS lights, how close can they be to the top of my plants?

For my ventilation how many times should my fans circulate the air in my grow room in a minute?

Could I get my lights at a gardening center?

And, How much should I expect the one light to increase my electricity bill?

Better to push really depends on the fan

Is it air cooled? As a general rule if it is hot or uncomfortable to keep the back of your hand at the canopy then its too close

Every 3 minute is good any more frequently is great.

If by garden center you mean Hydro Store-then yes

And, How much should I expect the one light to increase my electricity bill?

You need to check your bill and see how much you pay per KW Hour...a 250watt light uses .25 KWH per hour so if it runs 24 hrs per day it will use 6 KW hours per day......assuming a .10/kwh price for service in your area it will cost $.60 per day or $18/month running 24/7

How big is grow room? Def, push the air!! if closet (4x3x8) or smaller, 4" in-line 30 bucks at Home Depot should do the trick. they r rated 70 cfm
