Hey guys. I just acquired this lamp that I´m planning to use for a grow box. I dont really know much about it, or about ballasts at all, for that matter.
Notice that one picture where markings on the lid seem to indicate that the lamp can power hps and MH bulbs in 100- 150- 250 and 400 watt.
The description on the ballast says " Carlo Bezzi - ballast for m-s lamp 400w" 220 volts.
I googled this description and found this:
-Ballast 400W for metal halide lamps / 4,0A and high pressure sodium vapour lamps / 4,4A, built-in type, cl.I, self-resetting thermal protection, screw terminal, possible fixing on three sides, IP20, tw130°c.
The bulb in the lamp is a Lucalox LU400/T/40
Can anyone tell me if it indeed is possible to light whatever bulb i choose as long as it is in the range specified on the lid? Any information at all would be much appreciated.
