Lighting thoughts

So its pretty safe to assume that the consensus in here is to go with 18/6 or 24/0 for veg and 12/12 or 10/14 for budding.

I accidentally started mine with 14/10 for two weeks then went to 17/7 over a few days and stayed there for two weeks before I took it to 12/12 over a few days. I ended up with two males and a hermie. Kept the hermie and I am in the process of pulling sacs. I was told on here that I didnt stress it but maybe I did.

Anyway, while I was at 14/10 my plants got nice and bushy (did a little passive training where I tilted the pot (no pun intended) so the under leaves started growing like the main stalk) and were growing length and width wise pretty quickly. Since there is no place on earth that has 18/6 or 24/0 why do we use this. People say it makes it grow faster but from my experience it seems like the plants grow more during night hours than during the day. Makes sense too.

Does anybody here do 14/10 then 10/14? Any sort of that combination where you are not giving unrealistic amounts of light?

Thoughts and discussions are very welcomed.

Not that serious? You mean as far as stressing a plant?

I'm looking for someone with experience using more natural light hours and how their project turned out.
