I am wondering is 2x 6000 =1200W HIDs good enough for a 4x8 grow tent with a total of 32sq ft?

Yes, two 600W (you mistyped it as 6000) HID lamps would be perfect for that space. Each 600W covers a 4x4' area.
If you've got a well-controlled environment and a really good exhaust system, I'd go as far as to put two 1000W lamps in. I run a 1kW HPS in my main production 4x4' flower tent, and a 600W in the flower tent I use for breeding and experiments.

I have 1600w in a 4x8 tent. I have a 10" fan hooked up to the tent, it stays cool but it's not always that easy to keep it cool. Two 600w lights would be lots and you would have a way easier time with heat. 2 1000w lights in a room would have to be air cooled, with a extra exhaust fan to control just the climate inside the tent. You would need to be dialed in and depending which area of the world you live in it might be hard.

Thank you very much and yes I meant 600w and not 6000w lol. And I forgot to mention that my fan is 440cfm and both lights are air cooled hoods.
