Lighting Question

Ok I just started 13 girls yesterday and I'm thinking about buying a new light. I'm using a 400w hps that is a few years old and has never had the bulb changed. I'm trying to get the best yield out of this grow, so should I just buy a bulb or a new light altogether. (preferably a 600w or two)thx

Either just get a new bulb, or get a 1K. The 1Ks are BEASTS!!

for that many girls i'd say the 1k watter would be sensible..as for the 400 for vegging, you can veg with it of course, but with optimum results? probably not

if you wanna get the most out of your veg and money isnt' a huge issue i'd get an mh light of some sort for vegging

if you wanna utilizse your 400 hps for veggin though at least plan to change the bulb within the near future--the intensity is probably down quite a bit since you havent changed the bulb once

I would upgrade your watts as your growing 13 baby's a 1k is more suitable I use a 200w and I only grow 3 girls at a time
