Hey all im very new to growing and looking to grow some auto flowering plants and put up some grow journals. I'm currently looking at purchasing some lights but my question is that because i plan on growing some quick, easy, 60-70 day auto flowers and im going to buy a 130w cfl, my question is that should i just buy the 2700k one because the auto flowers dont have much veg time, or should i throw in the extra dollars and get both ?

Excuse if my writings a little messy, thats the way it is after a few hits. bongsmilie

Would you use both at the same time ? And how many plants do you think i could grow under 130w, or if both 260w ?

Thanks for help bro . :)

You're gonna need a decent reflector. Also Im unsure of the space you have available to you...anyways .. Ive heard people (newbies) considering up to 10 plants under a similar lighting setup, this is absurd. With the 2 CFL'S I would suggest no more than 2 plants.(if you plan on bringing them to maturity)

Alternativly, at the mo, Im having great success with the T5 fluorescent lighting (do a search) I find they have a better light spread than CFL's. Also using T8 ex-shop fitting lights that I got for super cheap on ebay. These too are in-expensive but a bit larger than the T5's.

It goes without saying that HID's are gonna yield better results... Maybe consider a 250W or 400W HPS if your space is small

Haha, yeah 10 plants i don't wanna grow stupid amounts plants, like you said i wanna get em to maturity, so i only wanted to grow 2-3 max, just wanted to grow some lowryder, got a fair bit of space available (garage) but i only wanna grow little, build some experience before i handle some hot girls. And nice on the T5 i have seen those floating around on ebay an such, my budget is pretty low, i think small cfl's are perfect for autoflowers, was going to also buy a mogul fitting. I guess in conclusion these lights, some good soil, good seeds ill get some good bud. cheers man :)
