This my be a dumb question but I'm new at this and a little buzzed at the moment. I know what they mean by setting the lights 12/12 so to tell the sex. What do they mean when they say set the lights 18/24?. If I was reading it right.:joint:

you can run lights during vegetative period for 24 hours solid which will grow ur plants quicker... still switch to 12/12 when ready.

Up to you.

I have run my light both ways and there is hardly any noticable differance in plant growth. But you will notice a difference in your electric bill if you go from 24/24 to 18/24.

i have noticed a difference as my grow area is very small but i also keep my lights 24/24 as i am in england and growing in a cold garage so keeping these lights on 24/24 also helps with the temperature in my grow room. It should see them through the cold spells and into spring which will be milder when i start to flower.

:-)

p.s. plus my envirolite is an energy saver!

Explain the connection?

We're in 2 different coutries. Even if spring starts at the same time, i would imagine your temperatures are gonna be slightly warmer than here aren't they?

Spring here is like March onwards...

... until it changes to summer of course :-)

are you thinking i'm growing outside or something?

p.s. fact is... in my garage, my temperature was dropping too low to keep my plants alive, i switched to 24/24 and insulated my room and now they live! No contest, it's 24/24 all the way for me buddy.
