lighting question?

I'm going to have 3 hps 1000 watts lights with 18 girls. Should I add another light or will this give me enough coverage?

Square footage you are trying to cover? Just guessing here, but if you are giving each plant a couple of square feet of space, then that means you have 36 square feet to cover. So, with 3000 watts of light you are pushing almost 85 watts per square foot, or over 10,000 lumens per square foot.

I don't see the payout for this much light over that much space. Unnecessarily higher electricity bills with little added benefit and the possibility of bleaching or even burning your plants.

A 6' X 6' area (2 ft sq per plant) can be covered with a single 1000 watt light on a light mover, or if stationary a couple of 600 watt lamps could do the job.

i have 18 plants under 2 1000w hps and in my opinion its plenty if i had 3 i would add at least 9 or so more plants

The room is 10X 10 and I'm growing in 5 gallon pots in soil.
Same size as my total grow area (my room is 12' X 12' and the area under lights is 10' X 10'). I am running six 600 watt lights, but will be growing SCROG style, with 80 total plants.

WOW, you are lighting them up to death. You really only need 3k to 4k per sqaure foot. It won't hurt the plants, but you won't get any benefit out of it.
