im broke ass hell. so i cant afford any lighting for my "setup" here. i got 1 plant under 1 46 watt cfl. yea, its growing, not nearly as fast as it could. is there anything i could do at the moment. i seriously have nothing. ive been reading about leds and someone was asking the question of xmas tree led lights. obviously they wouldnt do anything on their own. but would they supplement at all? if i put like 2 or 3 strands as close as possible, think they would do anything, even if its like 2% increase in growth, as long as theyll do something ill use it for now, anything helps my poor, sad plant. its definately a quarter the sized it should be. and stretched to all hell, but thats my fault.

See if you cant get some flouresent shop lights. They are cheap and will work from start to finish. The results might not be the best, but it works :hump:

LED are over priced and what your talking about isnt even in the same league of LEDs that are being talked about for growing. Dont even waste your brain cells thinking about LED's

well if i come across one for free or extremely cheap, i think it would be a good idea to supplement, definately not replace. im gonna just move the light from the attic to the closet so i have to sockets, 1 with a 46 watt and 1 with 18 watt. that should be somewhere around 3500 lumens, i think. how many plants could i fit under that, ya think? hey if i had the 10 bucks to get buy more light i would, im just that broke.

i got a rope light lying around the house. would that do anything, hey a lumens a lumen, (as long as its the right this or the right that i know i know) how can i add lumens useful for my plant in any way at all. whether its worth it or not can i use rope lighting to supplement my lighting.

I dont think the rope light will do much and I dont think its possible to hook a hps bulb up to a normal socket all the hps set ups ive seen have their own ballast. If possible put your plant near the window on a sunny day or in direct sun light it does wonders.
