lighting help needed.

i was recently in lowes looking for lights and i stumbled across 50w,70w,100w,125w,175w,250w high pressure sodium(clear) and metal halide(clear).got my grow room completed.can't use anything over 125w(due to i already bought certain spec rated fixture).should i go back and pick up two 100w of both>to go with my clf system?hps for veg and mh for flowering, does it matter also if the bulbs are clear?

stick with cfls (6500 K)for veging, standard MH just aren't the right spectrum for plant growth. clear doesn't matter.

thank you.got them germinating now.the lights are running about 28 dollars for 100w.had them in the buggy.

man you got it all wrong. exactly the opposite of what you said, MH is best for veg and HPS best for flowering. or ur going to buy both or if your budget is low HPS is suitable for both veg and flower. this guide seems descent check it out and do some study http://www.littlegreenhouse.com/guide3.shtml
