light set up on a 6x6x6 grow please????

I have a building 6 1/2 feet wide 10 1/2 feet long 7 feet high and want to veg 36 plants in a 6x6x6 area of the building for 2 months in april may would 2 400 watt HPS do the job well and is veging 36 plants in a 6x6x6 area to small? they will veg there first month on t5 in the house then moved out to the 6x6x6 area I would love to put out 3 foot plants in june.

Sounds like a shed. Sheds are risky.

That being said, you sound like you're on the right track with the setup. 36 plants is perfect for a 6x6 area (1 plant per square foot). The 2 x 400W HPS will have plenty of lumens for that area but you'd get better results vegging with a metal halide due to it's bluer spectrum. That's not to say the HPS won't work, but the MH would be more efficient.

Where do you plan on flowering? Outside?

The more light the better. I was just saying 800W is acceptable. How are you powering these lights? Is there power in the shed or are you running an extension cord? Extension cords and high current are dangerous.

Also 3 gallon pots should be fine if your just vegging for a few months. The rule I go by is 1 gallon for every 1 foot high your plants are. Others may disagree but thats my rule of thumb.

I wired it already with 2 -30amp breakers and 1 -20 amp . I could put 1 more 30 amp.Heat from the lights will be a good thing for me becouse it will be cold out. at that same time last winter I had to run a heater.In the same shed there is a 4x4x4 set up with t5s that will come out and the new will go in.I realy would like to be able to have 3 footers to 4 footers to move outdoors in june 3 -400 watt MH in 3 gallon grow bags should get it you think ? for 36 plants
