for veg, yes. it would work well for a 2x2-3x3 area.

willist, to be honest, i have no idea how this one you got there looks nor what it will do if it is on, if it gets hot or what ever.

well since i grow soley with mh....i know it will be fine...mabee you can find a bulb with more red spec thats what i use for flower...

az, what red specs do you use? i have solarmax gold bulbs, and i love them! they're great for veg and flower, and seem to have a bit of uvb; plants under them are a bit more sparkly than the ones under my 1000whps.

i use sunmaster bulbs 1000watt.. they wrk great all the weed i've grown has been stoney...
