W willist Active Member May 18, 2007 #1 I have a 265 watt metal halide light from a salt water aquarium, would that be a good light to use?
primeralives Well-Known Member May 18, 2007 #2 you could veg a couple plants with that, you would need a different light for flowering
K kindprincess Well-Known Member May 18, 2007 #3 for veg, yes. it would work well for a 2x2-3x3 area. kp
green_nobody Well-Known Member May 18, 2007 #5 willist, to be honest, i have no idea how this one you got there looks nor what it will do if it is on, if it gets hot or what ever. in general, post a pic of it so everyone can take a look at it

K kindprincess Well-Known Member May 18, 2007 #7 az, what red specs do you use? i have solarmax gold bulbs, and i love them! they're great for veg and flower, and seem to have a bit of uvb; plants under them are a bit more sparkly than the ones under my 1000whps.
