hello all, ive been kicking this around for the last couple of days, so my plant is getting bigger and i think i need to move my lights further away from the plant. as things are now im not really able to do this. should i drop the plant and use all of my lights top down, or should i just work to re-position the lights so that i can keep them as side lighting? any ideas welcome!!image.jpg :also i forgot, the plant, aurora is on a turn table and can move down vertically about 8 inches

Since you have reflectors for walls I would drop the CFL reflectors, and use these to hang your lights from white extension cords. Then you can keep them in similar position to now or raise higher if the plants get too close.

CFLs remove them and go for LED u could get a 300w/240w or just got light bulb leds

have look for self
The bulbs suck on efficiency, getting just a hair better than CFL for a pretty penny more. If you are going LED, don't bother with the bulbs, they aren't worth your money.

Efficiency: Crap LEDs -> CFL -> LED Bulb -> T5/T8 Florescent -> Cheap LEDs -> MH -> Better LEDs -> CMH -> HPS/Best LEDs -> Best LEDs with best cooling and driver setup.

he has them so close the only reason i can think is for depth

those are no were near perfect but they will improve on the CFL and remove that heat factor so close to the plant
agreed on your break down
