Light-mover inside of grow tent? Any ideas?

Hello all, I'm looking for advice/ideas regarding a grow tent (Dimensions: 8'x4'x7'). It's currently setup in a place where the temperature stays perfect, with just one light on - adding any more lights would require A/C or other methods to keep the ambient within safe ranges for the "girls".
It's a run of the mill grow tent with the white powdered aluminum rods, so it doesn't have a flat surface to mount a standard light mover - the light it self weighs nothing and I've contemplated plenty of Rube Goldberg type of contraptions, but I figured I'd pose the question to the experience of RIU and if nothing else I hope to at least get a general direction on my DIY project -
Has anyone modified or built a light mover to work inside of a grow tent, and if so how?

Thanks in Advanced,

Zip tie a 2 by 4 to the cross sections going in the direction you want the light mover to move. Attach the light mover to the 2 by 4 and you should be good to go. I take it you want the light to cover the 7 feet?

Yes, I want to cover as much of the interior as possible, I was also contemplating adding some 4ft T5s vertically up against the inside wall at either edge. Zip tying the board up there would create little spots that could offset the light track/rail, no?

If you put washers underneath the mover where the screws would hold it onto the 2 by four than it should make up for the small bumps. I have no experience using a light mover I am just telling ya what I would do if I was in your situation

Yes, I can see how that very well might work - thanks for the input tom!
I skimmed over your grow journal and plan to read more!
Pura Vida!

As of right now that is all I can think of on how to hang the light mover but if anything else comes to me I will make sure to post it here

The "Light Rail 3.5" seems to be the most popular one online - anyone have any personal experience with this unit?

I'd get the 2 Meter (6') rail, but didn't see specs on weight except shipping; is anyone familiar with how much it weighs?

What wattage light do you wanna use? Are you going to air cool it? If you get a good exhaust fan you could prob throw 2 600 watters in there without a light mover and just air cool both of them... Its up to you obviously just throwing out suggestions. You would prob get a bigger harvest with two lights versus one light on a mover

I've got one 600w not air cooled, don't really have the juice to cover another light without a fresh run and a new breaker and I'm not licensed to do that, my realm is more HTML than voltage and amperage =)
I'm currently running SOG with 4 systems and manually adjusting the light and the position of the systems with good results, that's why I'm pretty sure a light mover will gimme the best result, especially if I supplement 60-70% of the side foliage with T5s, eh?

If you have the t-5's and the mover than you should be good to go. Make sure you do a journal and document it haha just kiddin but if you do make one put the link in here so I can check it out
