agree, atleast you found it now, and not 6 weeks in to flowering where it easily could promote a hermi

make sure its bitch black in there, after 5 minutes you shouldn't be able to see your own hand in front of your face

Oh why did you wait another 4 days to fix it... and how is a few days + 4 days (since your first post above) suddenly 2 weeks?

It depends amongst others on the size of the leak as well as the stage the plants are in. Are there visible signs of flowering yet, or did you switch to 12/12 two weeks ago?

like everyone says it will be fine. My room is 2.5x7 I flower on one side 2.5x2.5 I have a veg cabinet in my room on the other side and some light escapes from the intake hole on it my flowering plant doesn't mind sharing the space. a little light doesn't hurt especially in this stage

will a light leak in begining of flower over the first few days equal DOOOOM!!!!!!:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:
Kind of depends on how bad the light leak is. I don't think a bit of leak is necessarily the kiss of death, just something you want to avoid. Might slow them down a little, but fix the problem and they will get back on track.

I just noticed a small light leak in my grow closet 6 days into 12/12.. It was about 1-1.5 square inches in area. It was not getting direct light but light filtered through curtains and shade trees and was less than 10 lumens (according to the light meter) and was the last 2 hours of daylight. The strains are sour tsunami and strawberry cough. Did I act too late or is there hope? More info: A few were showing pre-flowers but most were not showing any yet.

My outdoor plants start to flower when the light hours drop below 14 hours and most are finished within 1 to 2 weeks of the autumnal equinox (12/12). I start all my indoor plants into flowering at 13/11 for the first 3 weeks ( I have observed that that and higher humidity does help with stretch). And I've have not seen a delay in flowering time with it. So to say that plants need 12/12 to flower properly is a fallacy.

I understand long day/short day/day neutral flowering. I'm more concerned about the light leak and the possibility of plants going hermie. I do thank you for the reply and it gives me some hope I didn't screw up.

If your genetics are good I don't believe you'll have any problems. Ive been growing outdoors for almost 40 years and indoors for 12 and it bugs me when I hear people say that you must have 12/12 or you'll have problems.

I have no idea how good the genetics are. I can tell you that they are very aromatic and appear to be strong healthy plants.
