Ok, I have a staggered grow right now, and my finances have yet to afford the light/lights I would like, so right now I have a 250w MH, quite a few CFLs, and a regular flourescent, I was givin quite a few plants that were weeks into flowering. Now, I want to try to add more light temporarily, I have heard Halogens are bad cuz of heat etc etc, well heat is not an issue right now, as it is winter and I'm trying to keep it hotter, and I have ventilation, if I keep it back off the plants plenty will this help me with getting my plants atleast more light? I don't care if it's not efficient, just that it's ok.:?:

i personall;y wouldnt go with the halogen, like you said you have vents though those things can put some real heat out, your just taking risks of burning your plants to put in very unsufficent light.
your best bet would be hold off with waht you got till you can get an hps, IMO. but flowering is only 6-10 weeks and you already got them flowering so depending on how much time you got left i wouldnt kill myself to get more lights.

No no, I'm in a basement, I can very easily make it cooler, I have the light running now, without heat issues, I'm just wondering if it will help? Everyone just knocks the effeciency but I'm desperate for more watts to help my poor ladies, they aren't getting what they need, they were moved from much better conditions late in flowering due to circumstances.

i already said it is really unsufficent so that answers what your asking again, do you want me just to say it NO dont use the freggin halogen. what will/can happen to the plants its not worth the mayyybe and i say maybe 100 lumens. in example i have 25,000 lumens running a 4 plant veg growth.. get what im saying.
