You can drop back to 20/4 or 18/6 . But stay with this schedule til the end.
Autos will grow under any light schedule because of their short life span. They will flower on their own , NO MATTER WHAT LIGHT SCHEDULE YOU SETTLE ON.

I've never seen any stress running 24/0.what stress have you seen?
Ive seen slow growth and what id call a leathery texture to the leafs kinda similar to light burn ish
They were a friend of mines he was running some autos over the winter 24/0 and after switching to 20/4 the plants perked up and had that praying look to the leafs and this was a strain ive been growing for a couple years and an real familiar with im not at all saying 24/0 dosent work but i would recommend 20/4

I haven't really noticed any differences between 24/0 vs 20/4. Go with 20/4 and save some power. 18/6 is not enough for autos and will make airy buds IMO. Autos are also good to throw in with your vegging photos.

Got pics?

I use a 600hps in dirt.

not enough for autos? have you tried 18/6 vs 20/4.. also I think plants need some sleep.. even where I live in the summer the sun goes down for at least 2 hours on the 21st.. and auto flowers are from the same climate I live in.. Way the fuck up north. by Alaska.. ive noticed that they seem to grow faster when its dark.. makes sense too.. suck sun all day.. grow at night

Just FYI - These are either AKRs or Berry Ryders. Both autos. 20/4 lighting. A few were under a 400hps and a few under a 600hps. I think I'll stay with 20/4.

Plants also go through physiological changes during each stage of the day, says Janet Braam, a plant biologist at Rice University. “There are likely diverse and very important advantages of circadian clock function to plants,” she told me by email. For example, “we know that plants use the clock to be able to monitor day length and thus can prepare for seasonal changes (like winter) before the weather actually changes.”

Indeed, plant behavior is tightly controlled by the sun. During the day, plants soak up sunlight during photosynthesis, the process they use to get energy. But when the sun goes down, plants’ opportunity to eat disappears and other physiological processes take over, including energy metabolism and growth.

tbh it's half a dozen of One to the other, seen many arguements/debates on Light Schedules.. Some give em a Rest(I do for all of mine Photo and Auto) The one thing I have noticed a while ago was that a bunch of Clones I had on 24/0 remained quite short, But @some point I decided to switch to 18/6(these were BCB Photo) and they started shooting up.. without doing again I can't really say, But they sure seemed to respond to the Down Time they was getting
