hey guys
i'm a noobie, and i've been doing a ton of research before embarking on my first grow in more than two years. i live in a one bedroom apartment where the utilities are included in my monthly rent. for this reason i'm going to have to keep power consumption at a minimum. (local electricity comes in at .22 after "fees") i dont think my landlord is gonna like a sudden increase of a hundred bucks a month in the electric bill. i figure i can get away with 500w in lighting if i bs a little about an electric space heater or something... unfortunately i came up with that number after building a grow cab i originally designed for 3 250w HPS. my question is:
In a ScrOG setting, can i get away with two 250w hps in a 2' x 5'4" space and still come out with rock hard buds and around 1.5oz per square foot? quality takes preference over quantity. i'm also planning on using either molasses or humboldt's GRAVITY to firm up the buds, and the cab is completely covered in mylar and white paint for the ceilings. im hoping the reflection will make up for the slight lack of wattage. i should come in a smidge under 50w/sq ft.
