Light Cycle Issue

So it's been two weeks since the germinated seeds were put in their starter tray using some really good soil. They have been transplanted to their new 1/2 gallon homes and are looking very healthy. The issue at hand is the light cycle has been 12/12 since the beginning. It's my understanding one wants at least an 18/6 for the veg state then cut it down to 12/12 to sex and begin the flowering stage. What would you guys suggest be done to fix this?

My GUESS would be to get on 18. You could do 12-12 from seed but will have reduced yield.

increase the hours of light

always run 24 hours on new clones and seeds, put on 24 asap, no light issues,

i did 24hr light on with my t5 light for about 26 days then fliped her to 12-12 for about a full week to sex it then been in flower mode for about 8 days now. this is my first grow

26 days from seed seems kinda soon to switch over to 12/12. but I'm new and don't know a ton yet. I'm also doing my first grow, had some issues with lighting in the beginning and caused myself a longer veg... Been 5 weeks from seed now just topped 3 days ago and got my new tops shooting out. Gonna wait til she shows sex herself then start my 12/12 so I can avoid any chances of herm because my light issues cost me a plant so I only have 1... Not wanting to spend all this time and money to raise a boy I don't want.
