Light Burned Clones?

I believe my clones are light burned. I transplanted them over a week ago and placed them under a 1000w HPS with a Daystar hood. The light was approximately 20 inches above the plants. The temperature at plant level was 81 degrees with excellent ventilation in the room. After a day or so I noticed some of the leaves yellowing, some of the leaves curling upwards on the tips and some the leaves turning brown and crusty. I then raised the light to 3 feet above the plant.6 days later and the plants still look yellow with some slow new greener growth coming up from the small underside leaves. I have checked the Ph everyday and it was always around or slightly under 7.The plants are in a Roots Organics cocfiber hydroponic soiless media. I watered the plants twice a day giving them around a cup of water with no fertilizer each time. The Media seems slightly moist to the touch but not saturated. Are my clones Light burned and will they bounce back? Or should I just start over with some new ones?

If you see the new growth appearing in the nodes the plant will recover and grow normally. The damaged growth from the lights will not repair itself. It is time to start feeding if the older lower leaves are yellowing. Pictures would help immensely in diagnosing plant problems.

well if the plant is yellowing without burning that is natural. the plant is just feeding off those leaves because it needs nutrients. just give them time.

if there is green left its still alive.

Thanks for the Info, i appreciate the help.
I fed the babies the appropriate amount of grow juice, lowered the Ph to 6.4 and they are starting looking better.I think my problem was I gave the Newly transplanted clones too much light and not enough nutrients.
