I have a possible serious situation happening and I need to know what the police can do.

Only a few people know what I do they are all very close to me. However over 6 months ago one of those people and I got into an argument and he has held a grudge ever since. This person got his second DWI a month or so ago and apparently has considered telling the police about me but he claims he has not because he is still close to some other people who are directly involved and would also get into trouble.

So my question is this...If some guy gets a DWI can he offer this type of information to the police and can they then begin an investigation???

I have some beautiful plants right now but I might have to kill them and that would be so awful I've worked really hard. I am not a dealer, there is no evidence that I have any money I have debt and an empty bank account and I am a college student. I am a seasonal indoor grower I only do it during the late fall and early winter because I am home more and can do it right. I am really scared my life is going well and I don't want anything to happen and I've worked hard on my plants and spent money if I have to destroy them it will be a huge waste of time and money not to mention I would then have to buy weed illegally if I want to smoke....

And this is exactly why you should tell NOBODY so please spare me the lecture I told a lifelong friend but the friendship ended and now look whats happening....

I can do a short simple answer or an in depth answer.

For the purpose of this conversation I believe the information you want to know is this;
Yes he can offer information for lesser or dropped charges, unless your growing more than 3 plants I really can't see the police putting the man power or effort into busting you since that costs a fair bit of money and the reward of getting your plants out of the house and you charged, and arrested isn't worth the cost of investigation, paperwork, court costs and so on.

THIS IS NOT TO SAY THAT IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!

Just to let you know that while they do have the ability they will probably not be able to convince a judge to sign a warrent.

Just because you mentioned it I feel I should remind you one last time and don't worry, it'll be short...

Do not tell anyone about your next grow.

What I would do: remove anything grow-related from the domicile. So no smell, nothing in the trash, nothing laying around, or anything that might give them probable cause or reasonable suspicion to search your place. They might come to your door for a knock and talk, so don't let them in under any circumstance. "I do not consent to a search, officer." And maybe take the time to get in the good favor of those who know. If you're really risk-averse, you'd move the grow op. I've been trying to find the best way to accomplish that, a retreat plan in case my landlord needs to access

cops hear this shit all the time,if you live in a small town where everybody knows everybody your more likely to get poped by some shit head trying to make a name for himself,remember they can only gat a warrant if they have something on you,they would have to catch someone leaving your place with weed or make a buy off of you etc. judges dont just hand warrants out to any leo that asks for one. now if he got caught with weed when he got his dui then maybe, I dont know what I would do in your shoes not knowing the guy and all the other shit that went down so good luck man

many years ago when I was younger I moved into a house with an older dude who rented me a room knowing I would have some plants in there. One night he starts telling about how the guy who lived in the room beofre me had murdered someone outside a bar one night a year earlier and the cops were onto them so they skipped town. I thought nothing of it. a week later my Room mate disappears. he's gone for a few days I come home one day and the upstairs neighbor comes down and says that plain cloths cops had been sniffing around, literally. So I go inside and like ten minutes later the cops knock and talk. They tell me my Room mate has told them that I have some plants but that he is in a lot of trouble so they want to come in and look around. I tell them get a warrent they say they will and leave. I gave all my plants away to a neighbor and quit growing for a while. The cops did not come back. That was like twenty years ago in St pete FL
