LED's

fairly new to growing, but just wandering, have people used LED's to grow with? i am debating wether or not to get some, costly at start but makes up the difference in the long run, i am just wandering if they work and are legit... seen some youtube vids and they have had succesful grows but thought i should ask here to be sure

Agreed, a very informative, albeit heated at some times, thread. Last 20-30 pages has a lot about LED brands.

After a good amount of searching around I ended up with these LEDs:

Good solid quality, all the necessary spectrums are there (UV and IR as well) and the have veg models as well as flowering models. Good place to give a call to as well. I do believe they ship internationally, and they have Euro plugs, although I am not sure if that applies...Link to grow is in my sign, plent of info on this brand on that thread up there though.

im going to have to rep you for this. im enjoying my blackstar's output as well on my test run right now. I'm ready to ramp it up and push almost 600w in my tent next grow. I think i will suppliment the veg cycle with cfl's though...... I dont feel like having specialized led's for veg.

Cool man! Love the blackstars, also love all of the LEDs I have been seeing lately.
That 500W I have kicks holy ass, I would consider that too...The 600W uses 2 watt the 500W uses 3 watt.
I would pay for the 3 Watt and just combine that with what you already have. Push like 750W of LED in your tent, 500W up top, 240 on the side for side lighting. Rotate the plants every two days. Probably be shutting some people up. Probably be pulling some sick numbers off of each plant them.
