Led question

I've got a non-dimming light. Is there a way to dim it since they're led or will it harm the lights? Don't want to hurt them, and don't know if I really need to, but I've been wondering.

Depends on drivers, l have non dimming 660w in 4x4. Not enough height to veg in tent, have to use another light or cut hours bact to 16x8 instead of 18x6.lve done this and worked out fine, no stretching nothing.

I have 2 2500w cob led. They pull around 215 or so on veg and around 425 to 435 with the big cobs. 4x4x80 with the extender if needed. Trying to get the height down. I'm not necessarily going to try it, was just curious about it. Thanks though

Not sure what lights youve got, all cobs right? No 3w colours? Need about 600w from wall to flower 4x4, maybe less but l dont see it.

Yes they are all cob phlizon 2500w cree cob. They're full spectrum with ir. At the low end, they pull 400 from the wall at least.
Well ld guess lm not much help sorry. Not sure about dimming them unless you buy variable controller, like for fan and raise and lower current. Need cw driver to do l believe.or is it cc? Think cw.

I don't trust any light company that lies about it's products power. It calls the light a 2500 watt when in reality, well I have no idea what power this thing is. Their ad shows it hooked to a KW meter saying it's pulling 430 watts than in the same ad says it's 320w. Not sure if that's with the cobs on and off as it's not clear.

But to answer your question I think it's got a built in dimmer switch as the ad shows there is a strengthen light button for later stages of plants.

The strengthen button basically turns on or off the 5 cob lights so that would be your dimmer. It just turns on and off those 5 lights but still would drastically lower and raise the amount of light. Worst case scenario just raising or lowering the light will change your intensity.

Dont forget that all those watts arent light, 12 to 15w per fan has to be taken into consideration.
Not really. Their ad shows it as 2500 watts, 430 watts and 320 watts for the same light. Since their write up is total garbage I would not pay attention to any of it. Since the OP has this thing I guess nothing to do but see how the plants react but I would take the numbers out of the equation since those selling the light don't even seem to know what they are selling. The boost switch turns on and off the cobs so that would work as a dimmer for the OP but really they could just raise and lower the light for their needs. Just an opinion based on the horrible writeup for this light.

My light is almost same but Ive got and Aglex says a 2000w is 408w with fans cobs and 3w colours but has 4 cobs not 5. Using for veg light, was sick killed off most of grow, time gerring short to start outdoor too. Thinking of blackout and doing flower over summer when suns best. Last year pm kicked my ass, not this year. Hoping! Mine says will veg. 3.5ft x 3.5 ft. Seems close. Think yours is better btw!
