led grow lights

so far i have been pretty cheep and only used a compact flourecent but i want to step it up and ive heard the led is good. What do you guys think?

Ive allready looked into some of the led's and it looks like the way to go. For 100 dollars i can get the led spotlight which covers 5 square feet.

HID and CFL are indeed better for your plant. LEDs do work but are not optimal. notice how in this video the LED plant isnt as bushy as the hps plant and the LED doesnt yield nearly as much.

the only reason why i could see someone wanting to use LEDs to grow would be because of the low cost of running LEDs but at nearly half of the yield. this plant is a great risk to grow so your time and money should be used for something better then an LED to produce quality buds.

LED works worse than CFL. If you really want to grow a nice plant HPS is the way to go.
