Led for veg and flower?

I'm planning on building a grow cabinet that has one area to hold a mother plant and some small to medium sized plants, and then a separate area to flower In do I need a different spectrum led light for the veg chamber? And a different one for the flower? Does the box need ventilation with the lower heat lights?

3000k 80cri will work fine for both veg and flowering, similar to how HPS will handle veg just fine, but the extra blue and efficiency from 5000k 70cri is supposed to be better for veg.

It's DIY. You'd have to do a bit of research on using octopart to finding parts, and matching the right cobs to the right drivers, and getting heat sinks... etc.

for your veg area what you are looking for is 6500k cfl, for flower? How much space? I use a CLW 220 fullcycle to cover a 2 x 2 area, but a 400w hps is much cheaper to buy, more expensive to run

Hello. First time grower/poster (so sorry if I post in the wrong area. I have a small grow going for personal consumption (two grows). Acapulco gold / trans Siberian auto (castle seeds). Both in FFOF in 5gal pots. Have been growing the AC for a week (from germ) under 125w cfl (about 8 in from plant, and just germed the AC gold yesterday. My question is about lighting though. I just purchased a KIND K3 L450 from MBFERTS.com (585.00 best price I could find anywhere). Should be here by Thursday. Has anyone ever used KIND or the L450 in particular? Researched LEDs for a few months and decided to go with the KIND. Good choice? My grow space is 20"x36"x62". I was going to go with the KIND L300, but feared the recommended footprint may be exaggerated as LED co's tend to do that. Since the 450 was the same price at MBFERTS as the 300 was everywhere else, the 450 seemed like a great deal. Thanks for the input! Also, anything to worry about going cfl:led mid-veg?

Also, I have a vornado flippi 6 blowing, A GrowBright-4in-Inline-Fan-&-Carbon-filter (170 cfm), and a bigger Vornado blowing 72* temps into my tent via tent bottom vent. With the cfl I have going temps are around 78-82. Will this set up be overkill when I install the Kind L450?

Sure thing,with the L6 I get one once per gallon of dirt at least every run. My CLW lamp will pull 1.5 consistently

Ok so if you had 2 plants both in 5 gallon containers your gonna get around 10 ounces?
