Leaves drooping before lights out - LP aero system

Hello,

I've been searching and have found a bit of info on this elsewhere, but wanted to check here to see if anyone might offer some insight on my issue.

My leaves begin drooping and take on a dull quality 3 or 4 hours before my lights go out (18/6). It appears that it is primarily the uppermost leaves that are affected. I suspected, briefly, that they might be suffering light / heat stress - but I have them ~ 24" from a 600 watt vented HPS and have excellent air circulation and my temps don't rise above 83 F.

Anyhow, while I was researching this AM, I ran across a Q&A with Ed R. where he attributes the exact same issue I am having to a rootbound plant. The root chamber in my system is nearly 24" deep with roots hanging in air, so I am certain this is not the issue.

My suspicion is that - because I am running a low pressure aero system right now @ 1 minute on / 5 minutes off - I am overwatering. I understand that 1/5 is common in aero, but given that mine is low pressure, I suspect this might be too much as my nutrient solution is not atomized as well as it would be in a high pressure system. I intend to move to HP eventually, but just recently built this system and need to get it working before I can entertain the idea of upgrades.

Has anyone run into this?
