Leaves curling under and in on themselves, also yellowing-HELP PLEASE. with pics

The leaves are yellowing and curling under and in on themselves. The lower leaves seem to be yellowing and the top leaves are curling in and under on themselves.

I've had these for about 7 weeks now in veg under some flourescents. They were growing fine until about two weeks ago when they were overwatered. I fixed the over watering prob and got rid of a lot of the yellowing leaves but they don't seem to be bouncing back that well.

They're in peat moss and have been repotted to their final pots. The temps around 27 to 30 degrees celsius. The water I use has Super Thrive added and I have used spray on nutes, which I can't tell you much about as it's written in the language of the country I'm now living in and don't yet read (I haven't used a lot of nutes because of this). Their ph levels stay around 6.5 to 7. They're on an 18/6 light cycle and I was about to switch them to a 12/12 light cycle when all this started so I've held off on flowering till now.

I can't really get much at all in the way of western products here and ordering off the internet is not possible so home remidies are what I'll need. Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advace.

If you need anymore info let me know. Here are some pics.

Haven't given them any nutes for two weeks now as I thought there might have been a bit of over fertilizing. Actually, I gave them a light spray last night with some nutes cause it had been a while. Didn't give them much though.

A tiny bit on top of the peat moss, which I removed most of when I thought there was some nute burn.

Other then that i use a spray nute about once every two weeks. The bottle says to use it once a week.

Nitrogen deficiency but the curl could be over or under watering. I'm inclined to say over watering because of the N deficiency.

I let them go bone dry as they had been over watered and have been watering them every third or fourth day since. I also spray them with water as well.

All my water has super thrive added to it.

You don't need to spray the leaves but you do need high humidity. What you do need is more fertilizer and letting the plant go bone dry is just as bad as over watering. If you know where the extremes are then finding a balance should be easy.

that'd be nute burn... flush with water with enough water to fill the pot three times. Dont do this all at once just over the period of a day... then get another fan to help dry the soil so there is no drowning.

I think you might want to look at the superthrive too. Are you foliar spraying with superthrive, if so how many drops are you using per litre.

I'm using about 6 to 8 drops per litre whther it's foliar or normal watering.

Should I be using less or more?

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

It's the superthrive!!! Stop using it on the plants! They need food and S does not come close to having what they need.

Also they need a good soil that contains at least an NPK ratio. What you are currently using is basically a soiless medium with 0 food for the plants and you are using a growth booster w/ hormones with no basic nutrients to it.

Check out the growfaq at the top of the page for the basics of growing. It will tell you exactly what and how to feed your plants. They are suffering from a lack of food and an overdose of superthrive. There is a list of organic home foods that you will be able to feed em. Nitrogen, potasium, and phospherous is a great place to start.

Hope i wasn't too harsh but it is crucial that you read, read, read the growfaq to gain the knowledge and then apply it to the growth of the girls. Btw, they are not irrecoverable they just need tlc and some FOOD.:peace:

I realize what they need. Unfortunately, I'm in a country where these things just aren't available. They do have fertilizer available but don't list what is in it on the pack. It'll say for flowers or for vegetables but that's it. That's why I have been using the spray on stuff that I got sparingly.

I have no idea what levels of NPK are in them. If you have any ideas or know of things I can use to mix with peat moss, which I can get, to supplement NPK I'd be eternally greatful. I'm reduced to using things I can find around the house or basics from a supermarket. Even the supermarkets here don't have many of the usual things a western supermarket has. And the garden shops here only sell plants and flowers not supplies.

Thanks for your help.

Superthrives main purpose is as I understand it, a root hormone stimulant along with some multivitamins that may or may not work. Last I checked, one drop per litre would drop the pH in my water from say 7 to 6. So 6-8 drops will be sending it to acid city.

But the biggest thing is I just dont think foliar spraying superthrive through the leaves is a good idea considering its more for roots and perhaps uptake in the stem.

Have you tried feeding through the soil rather than leaves?

I think that they have all the signs of overwatering but now it went into underwatering.... Give your plants small dosses of about 1 tall glass ...around the stock... every 2 days or so.... youll be able to see.... I dont knw what country you live in.. but i doubt that you dont have available soil... When givne the choice of flower or vegatibles. always go with veg... I would go to the local supermarket that every place in the world has on the weekends....you know the market of the local farmers and shit...go talk with them... they will tell you where they get the soil..it might be a specialized thing.... i think that the biggest problem people have is they all want to replace soil for this plant.... this IS a plant...desing to grow in soil... pet moss and all that other shit and aero bubbleponics...hempy buckets... all that is great and awsome and will give you great results...IF you have the proper equipment.. for starters a 100$ tds/ppm/ph digital reader... then all of the correct lvl of different nutrients... Just do straight soil that the grower uses for melons or tomatoes or whatever.......... soil and water and youll have an awsome plant... if not your using some weak ass genes.

As far as your water.... Again not knowing where you live.. im going to make an assumption based on you saying you cannot get these products...id try different sources of water on different plants....rainwater or clean river water (if your high in the mountains) not a city river water...lol....hell some remote places depending where you live... have the best water... untouched by crap... I have some land in segovia that is above the water factory down at the end of the valley about 2 miles down... you cant beat that water... comes straight from the mountains... but if you live in some brown water where people swim and wash there clothes and shit... lol.... good luck ..
