leaf discoloration

Is this an issue to worry about. I'm using tap water with a tablespoon of lime to adjust the PH. Its a promix with additional vermic and perlite. 13 days from planting. Using 240 watts of mixed temp flouros. Temperature is a mean of 78 with a max of 83. Humidity varies from 35 to 55. Roots are just starting to show at the bottom of a few cups. I have 11 seedlings, only two have this showing. The others look ok not stellar yet but are doing ok. Any feedback or suggestions would be great. Thanks Mainesmoker

Nothing to worry about at this point. Most of your growth is in the root zone during first two weeks. Then they will shift gears and take off above the soil. That's when I start slowly increasing the amount of fertilized soil they have access to and worrying about the color of the leaves.

So I won't transplant yet, I guess I'll just ride the snake and see what happens. I forgot to mention that my light is on a 24 hour cycle if that makes a difference. Thanks for your help Bugeye

I always like to let my plants sleep for at least 4 hours a day. I know you can get huge growth rates with 24 hours on but if I were you I would let them get some rest for about 4 hours. When the lights are off they can transport sugars and other biologicals through the plant so that when you turn the lights back on they will be stronger. Just my 2 cents. The plant does look ok though. Good Luck Dude
