layout for 24 plants, 2x1000W HPS, Ebb & Grow

I'm growing 24 plants and have purchased 2x1000W HPS (Sunmaster). The lights claim 150,000 lumens.

I thought I'd keep the plants close together to "best" use the lights.

So I went ahead and connected all my Ebb & Gro buckets almost as close as possible to one another (using 6 rows of 4 buckets). I have nearly no "extra space" between buckets.

But then I realized that as the plants grow they will/could/might want to get fatter than the roughly 10" pot diameter.

I also imagined that I would sooner than later be adding up to 36 more plants & lights, (total 60) so space was a concern but I'm not out of space quite yet.

I guess bottom line
What is the "optimal girth/diameter" for a plant?

or Should I consider "Screen of green"?

I've pretty much decided to leave the plants close and to a SCROG

Any suggestions as to whether I have too much light? as most of what I read on SCROG uses smaller bulbs?

You've def got enough light bro, some may think its too much, but the real issue will be heat. As for the number of plants with those containers, hard to say. You want to plan for what the finished canopy will look like, and space your plants accordingly. It'll vary from strain to strain and how long you veg.

You should easily be able to finish clones in a 10" pot.
