Landlord Has My Energy Bill

I am running 18 23w cfls on a 16-8 schedule, and a 600w hps on a 12-12.
My only problem is my landlord is the one that pays the energy bill.
Im assuming around a 150$ increase on his hydro bill. Pretty sure, he's gonna come around asking what is up with the hike in usage. What should i tell him if he comes around asking? Does anyone have any suggestions, as to what i could do or say?
any suggestions would be helpful. thx in adv.

I don't think your bill is going to increase that much. I would think maybe around 30 bucks more a month. Tell him you're cold natured and you like the heat up. I don't see why it matters as long as you pay it ON TIME, and it's nothing too crazy. 30 or 40 not 150, that's a lot, man.

tell him you've been cooking a lot more in an effort to save money. eating out is hella expensive, and stoves, microwaves, and other cooking appliances use up a lot of power. Also, you used the money you saved not eating out to buy a plasma tv, they use a lot of power too. Its fucking perfect.:blsmoke:

..and if you could vent the heat off the lights in to your living area after it's filtered, you could turn your heater down. I did it in an appartment I had years ago, and I think my bill went up 12 bucks or something like that.

figure out what its gonna cost em,

watts x hours x kilowatt hour .... then divide by 1000

kilowat hour for me is .06 cents im sure this is about average

i was gonna put an example but im a lil too drunk to be doin all that right now

You can also say you're running a computer or two. Those can use up to 750 watts a peice

Just cuz the power supply is 750w doesnt mean its using that. most high end computers top around 400-500W and that's a quad core with 2 graphic cards right there.

anyway, just say you got a saltwater reef aquarium and ur using two metal halides for the corals...lmao its perfect

i dont think people automatically look at shit and say, oh he is growing pot.. what i would be worried about is the fact that he can come and visit you anytime, based on you contract, they can sometimes go in your place without even telling you and trust me, unless he is cool. he will definetaly report you as he wont want to get involved with anything should you get busted

Tell him you are growing weed. But say it jokingly at first to see how he reacts. Hey, you never know...maybe he will be your best customer!

Space heater or small game server will probably be believable. I pay $.15 a kwh and the bill went up $38 for the ENTIRE garden when in 12/12. That is with a 600 watt HPS. My roomates computer uses at least that much a month. You should be fine.

I wouldnt say jack. Just make sure you pay the landlord on time and make sure your grow space can not be seen with the naked eye (meaning its not in the middle of your living room) and you should be cool. Lock your grow area up if you can and get that Landlord his/her money on time. Rule number 1 "keep your mouth shut about what goes on in your house" discuss nothing that occurs on the inside of your doors

Much Respect

I dont know. I run a 400 and a 600 and the support equioment and I wince whenever I get a bill. Mine went up about 150-200 dollars. I was shocked. A lot of that is because I run air too I am instantly in the highest charge bracket. That is like four times I think, I cant remeber. Lol, so get ready for a lot of stupid advice at least on what the power company is probably doing wrong. I would at least wonder about who pays that, you or him, if he gets the bill.

at my old place my landlord used to get the bill and I had to pay the difference. I built a room in the basement with his approval a 5x4 room. I kept some music playing at all times to drown out the hum from my pumps humming but i always paid him on time which kept him out of my place and if something needed to be repaired id do it myself and let the landlord know. He come look to make sure it was right and then he would be out. Once a year he came to make sure his place was okay. I also try to run my lights at night when the rate is a bit cheaper too.

Much Respects and best of luck to you and your girls my friend
