Kush, Haze, Kind?

Hey guys, ive been around for a while and back in the day it was just pot. Then there was the supposed "Hydro" (which i know isnt even a strain its the growing method), then i found about Indicas, Sativas, and Hybrids. Fine.... But what is the different between the Kush and Haze? Are these sub species? still pot, sativa or indica, but then they are divided into kush and what not then the actual strain? Just kinda confused. Whats the difference?

Back in the day there were different strains to...remember the big huge light green buds??? Sativa...Mainly the Cali stuff we heard it to be...Skunky stuff...Indica...Gong...Thi...we just weren't the conicours back then...lol
