ok so i finaly got round to starting my first grow. i decided on kiwi 2 pounder seeds.
heres my equipment:
2 300watt cfl lights with reflectors.
2 11 watt standard cfl
oscilating fan
chicken shit
n-p-k in pure form
garden lime
soil test kit( i know not a good idea, but didnt no it was a bad idea at the time)
humidity meter
thermometer
electric timers
5 x 20 litre pots
westland multipurpose indoor plant compost
propagator (mini greenhouse thing)
electronic irigation system
foil lined grow room
grow room size: dont know measurments but its at least 6foot 6inches high, at least 5 and a half foot long and about 2-3 foot deep. its a big built in wardrobe with both doors opening.
think thats about it !
so i started by germinating my seeds, which went realy well and they all had big roots ( about an inch long) after 2 days, so i planted on the 3rd day. i started them out in the propagator. i treated the soil in the propagator with n-p-k and chicken shit straight into the soil, then waterd alot to mix and what not, then added some garden lime to keep the acidity down. left the soil for an hour or so and then planted the seeds half inch under the soil, stuck them under a 300watt cfl and next morning they had alredy broke the surface and begun unfolding leaves.
i was happy

so any way, left the lid on 24 hours a day until i decided they were ready to leave the green house.
at this point they were just under an inch tall and had a set of the round leaves and a set of the pointy "weed" leaves (im a newbie ok! lol)
i set the light about 3 inches above them, and set off for work with a smile on my face.
well upon returning home, i was soon to find the smile slapped clean off my face when i opened the grow room to find all 3 plants badly wilted and laying completly flat, with a few singes to the top of the biggest plant.
i sprung into action immediatley killing the light, then wateirng lightly, then assesed the damage.
it was bad.
im a noob and even i could tell that the 2 smaller plants would definitly die.
so i pulled the 2 that looked as good as dead out the soil completly, and dropped them in some fresh water for 1 hour, then re planted them (i thought it was better then just bining them!!)
the other plant( the bigger one) i left where she was, and just waterd well. she was standing tall as good as ever within 1 hour (y)
the other 2 made a little progress then relapsed, and are close to being non existent.
any magic saviour for them?
so to continue!
i am not so naive to belive the claims of 2 pound of bud from 1 plant and obviously wouldnt get that with cfls even if it were true.
but how much realisticly can i expect to see?
im going to order some more seeds soon, as its just not economical to waste all that energy and supplies for 1 plant.
so providing you guys say i can get at least 1 pound harvest from the 2 pounder, ill get another few of them, but i realy realy want something sooner.
ive seen plants that bud in a few weeks but only produce a few grams.
im looking more like 2-3 ounces, but within 1-2 months? is that even possible? i dont know. im a noob lol
i can get hold of 150watt hps light kits (ballast wiring lamp holder and bulb) for £25 each, and i plan on buying at least 4 of these and im considering buying a few 42watt cfls just to hang in the foliage to give a good even spread of light.
any objections to that idea?
also if you look in the pictures, in some you can see what i imgaine is some kind of mold ? any advice? is it dangerous? how do i get rid of it?
im literaly a complete first timer, ive never grown anything let alone weed and im just trying to do what seems logical so any advice will be very very well appreciated, just be gentle lol.
thank you guys for your time, love reading all your posts and funny topics, keep postin' n tokin', guys and girls! (y)
