Yes, I have tried the "Grow packs" and they do work very well. The leaves are super dark green which makes them look very happy. I have run the mix at a lower than recommended dose also, at least I think that's the case. Kelp4less doesn't have the best mixing directions for all their products.
For instance, the grow packs come in two packages which should not be mixed together except when making the solution so they do not specify how much of each half is required. Their directions on the site as of 07/20/13 reads: "1 tsp to 2 tsp per gallon".
The question is, do they mean 1 to 2 teaspoon of each A/B component or 1/2 to 1 of each?
I've run 1/2 teaspoon of A/B per gallon and have noticed powerful results.
It's important to mention I'm running this in a soiless mix (roots organics) and not hydro. For those that are interested in using this mix in hydro, I'm not so sure it is the best choice. Let me explain, I mix this in a 5 gallon pale and after a day of 80 degrees, it develops a sort or stench which tells me it might grow anaerobic bacteria. Kind of like after adding too much molasses to hydro. That stink develops and things go down hill from there.
I have not tested this but wonder if running air stones 24/7 might help? It's worth a try but without, I'm not sure.
For the record, in soil, one thing I've noticed is the plants all smell the same. Not a bad smell, it's kind of nice but not a strong "Ganga" smell, more like the smell of the mix itself.
The plants are super healthy though, super dark green with steady growth.
Haven't tried the bloom packs yet, will report on those later.
