keep failing at growing. HELP

So as the title says, I keep failing. Everything dies before it even grows more than like 3 leaves.

1. I have the perfect grow room set up, a small closet with a T5 fluorescent, a few fans circulating air, a heat mat, reflective paper on the walls.
2. The temperature is always between 76-84 degrees, the humidity always stays between 40 and 50%. They get 18 hours of light a day.
3. Water and soil PH is always between 6.2 and 6.6

I germinated a bunch of seeds from an old batch of bud I had (I was aware these may not be viable) out of 30 three survived, they all germinated, sprouted, and grew about an inch. Then keeled over and went kaput. The 3 survivors were in grow blocks, 2 of them went into bigger growblocks when roots popped out, 1 of them went in to soil (unfortunately ocean forest and now I have white flies and had to throw it away) THe other 2 in the big growblocks looked great like they were gonna flourish and grow. NOPE. the growblocks turned green in some areas and upon pulling the smaller grow blocks out of the big ones, I Discovered they had root rot too at such a young stage.

I then bought some seeds from attitude seeds, planted 3 of them as a tester, they germinated, looked really good compared to previously germinated seeds, and then barely grew 2 cm out of the growblock before dying. I am afraid now to keep using my expensive seeds, I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

I don't think I water them too much, and as it hadnt been long enough I didnt start using nutrients yet (One of my buddies has a really strong plant that hes never even touched with nutrients or proper ph water). I keep reading these plants can take a real beating but why are none of my mine even growing taller than 2 or 3 inches before dying?

over water
if grow blocks are rockwool thats supposed to be ph'd

just start in seedling compost or light mix

yeah thats what I'm trying this time round, the rockwool I know would affect the ph so I soaked them in 6.3 water the day before and then watered them with more ph water after putting the germinated seed in the next day.

dont use rockwool its not easy to work ph and moistore wise and it should have been ph'd far lower than that

get a party cup cut around 3/4 around the bottom fill with light mix. germ seedlings using paper towel add to cups cove with plastic bag until sprouted
after 7-10 days pull bottom off cup and plant in medium strength compost like roots or happy frog even biobizz all mix
in a 1g pot root out for another 7-14 days and plant in final pots (3-4g) root for another 7-14 days then flip when needed

You need to soak the Rockwool in 5.5pH water for about 18 hours. The glue in the Rockwool is very basic.

Possibly the heat mat, it may be to warm, put a board over it, or try without it, and yes simple seed starting mix, start em in red solos, once the leaf span surpasses the circumference of the cup transplant, I always transplant into the final pot, check out smart pots made of fabric, I love mine, try some new seeds, don't waste ur time on autos, just get a nice photo,

what I am trying now is

After they germinated, went right into Roots soil mix with no nutrients, and in like 2 weeks I'm going to start using nutrients from botanica. I hope this works cause I already lost money on some nice seeds, cant afford to lose anymore.

all i do is germinate them in a cd case with a damp paper towel, wait until they sprout, i put them in roots organic 707 soil right away, has enough nutes for about 1-2 weeks and then proceed with my other processes. works...

U also may be giving nutes to early, I always wait at least till 4 true leaf sets, not counting the cotyledon leaves(1st set of leaves) I always start at 1/8th strength and add every other feeding, if there's no sign of burn I increase to 25% strength,it's like baseball you have to make contact before you swing for the fence, also just use the seed starting mix from Walmart, look for a 5,5,5 Npk ratio, and I usually get organic soil from lowes or Home Depot of 10,5,5 for the transplant from solos to my fabric pots, I also add about 25% perlite in to the medium for the transplant, so it's just seed mix in the solo.....but 25% perlite,25% peat moss and 50% soil in the fabric pots, this works well for me ATM, I'm not a know it all but I've made lots of mistakes and this is what has worked for me.... P.s make sure your soil is pasteruized, I battled spring tails last time I didn't check the bag of soil,..........also if you wanna try germing a new way, this is what I do, get a few shot glasses of tap water and separate your strains if need be, use plain tap water and. Fill em up, drop your seeds in the appropriate shot glasses, make sure they don't soak longer than 24 hrs, tap on em every few hours, once they sink they are ok to be planted, I don't wait for tails, they usually sink in 2 to 18 hrs, plant em about 3 mm deep in a red solo, place under flouros or CFls and cover with Saran Wrap, let em breathe every 12 hrs or so, once they pop out and the cotyledon leaves are green and healthy usually a day after they sprout remove the Saran Wrap, keep the soil moist but not wet, transplant one the leaves outgrow the circumference of the solo.

P.s don't be afraid to give your seedlings 24 hrs of light there first few days to a week, none of mine have never hermied,I read about it being a myth in Greg greens marijuana grow bible

Start in light warrior, then replant in quality soil. Don't water until the soil is almost completely dry, do not feed until week 3 or so. Good luck.

I agree about not feeding till about the third wk, about when u have 4 or 5 leaf sets, but I don't agree about waiting that long to water, babies need nurturing

The reason I don't water often is because when the soil starts to dry, the roots will grow deeper to find water, the faster you can establish nice roots, the healthier the plant will be. I'm not saying to wait till the plant is deprived of moisture, I just let it dry out a bit. It has always worked well for me.

Ok I get what your saying, I thought u meant as he was trying to make em sprout, I was like uh wtf mate, but yes your right once they're going don't keep the pot super moist, I usually water when the topsoils dry, I'll stick my finger in it if I feel moisture it's ok if not i water, and I mean like a 1/3 of an inch not my whole finger, that damages feeder roots, made that mistake, lol
