Just curious, do push or pull air through YOUR carbon filter?

Hello, I'm just seeking some opinions from some people who have experience with carbon filters. Currently my filter is pulling air but I have a situation where it may be more practical to have it pushing through it. Does anyone have experience pushing air through your filter? Does it take a larger fan? It will still be the same length of duct through my 600w hps out the tent through the vortex fan into another room. Any experience or knowledge you have about this would be very helpful! Thank you very much!

i pull although its really just because its the only way my set up can be done, although i may have read sumwhere that this is the best method

on the opposite end (of the above post), i push exhausting air out of my carbon scrubber, because its the only way for my particular set up to work correctly for odor control via my scrubber.

Both ways will work but pulling through the filter is more efficient than pushing through. I personally have my tent setup to pull air through a filter.

Thanks for all of the reply's! I pull air through a scrubber with a 400 cfm vortex type fan. I was wondering if i could push through the scrubber instead, to save some space in my tent? There is about four foot of 6" duct out of the tent to the fan and then directly into the next room. I use a Sun System Supreme Yield Master hood and sometimes I wonder if air is getting pulled between the lens and out after the filter, so this adjustment would eliminate that worry as well.

My only thought being that you lose the effect of the prefilter sock. Its there mainly to reduce the amount of dust that gets to the carbon and therefore clogging the pores of it.
