Hey guys, im having a "little" growing home with 31 plants, (its ww x bb/grape fruit/ak47/bubblegum) And their height is various like 2ft-5ft, and the shorter ones are much more bushier. I'm using 4 hps 400w, 2 fans, soil, vegnutrition and flowernutrition and ofc NPK.

temp is bout 74 F, vegged for 5 weeks and im in the 4 week of flower, its like 50-65 buds per plant and i guess a buds weight dry is 5 grams ? so i were curious bout the yield! got bad pics so im not uploading yet.

Thnx in advance!

Cant generally say 5g per bud, would have to see pictures. With those calculations you would be looking at 17 pounds which would be slightly impressive ;)
Post above seems somewhere in the ballpark range

Way too many plants for that many watts, and only 400s. You'd be lucky to get 2lbs imo.
If u calculate with watts, it would be like, 1600w / 31 plants would give 51 watt per plant, and with 65 buds on 1 plant, can show u pic later that its true, would give me like 200-300g per plant, i guess if its going like its going now. =) so i dont think that method is working, actually its just a theory method =) cuz if the method works, it would be 1000w on 1 plant would be 1 kilo, so ty for comment anyway!

17 pounds? LOL
I think my calc. must be broken.....
I took his 50-65, and used 55 for an average for buds per plant, multiplied times 31 plants, divided by 2 for his .5g per bud, divided that by 28 for grams per oz., and divided that by 16 for oz./ per Lb. and came up with 1.9 Lb.

So you're going to get about 15lbs of bud? Are you sure your modest guess of around 4-5 grams per watt is enough? You might even get 7-8 grams per watt.

ehm, how the heck could u calc with 0.5 per bud ? theyr like 2cm tall now, and its 5 weeks left, so dunno how u could get it like 800grams of 31 plants, hah, funny!

Well, you're going to have bud I guess. You should probably only grow 8 plants next time. I would do 2 under each 400.

Don't want to be a dick but you will be lucky to get 2lbs of GOOD bud. Probably more like 1.5lbs though. You're going to have a bunch of fluffy garbage bud.

I guess that no one calc with lumen, the watt on the lamp is the power, the lumen is the light, so i cannot understand how u all say like max 2 plants per 400w, if every plant get their lumen, and if u got a small room, u dont need so much overpowered with watt. And yes, i've learned much bout lumen in school

Neat, well post some pics and I'll let you know. I've been doing this for a long time now, and know what works, and what doesn't at this point. I know you don't like what you're hearing but it's the truth.

If you hit 5 grams per watt you would be a god, and absolute god. The most I have ever seen is 2 grams per watt and that was a vertical sog setup. That was done by someone who has been growing for years though. Seriously, you're talking nonsense, you better temper your expectations, and hope that you get 1.5lbs of good bud. Don't take a mortgage out on your house.

Well, its not like im being a dick either, but if u check this out, 58000lumen x4 and its 125 lumen per w, and if u give ur plant like 8k-10k lumen its going to be like, HUGE, and i'm giving them like 7500lumen, so my math is quite good i guess, and no, im not guessing that il get like 50-100g per plant, more like 150-250 =) cheers!

yea im saying you may end up with large amounts of fluff, and some good buds, you have quantity ln your side though. you might have a pound or 2 of awesome buds off your 31 plants and probally equally as much fluff. but ucan pull that 2 pounds of qualitys nugs off much fewer 1 or 2 plants and have no fluff at all, if you had stronger than your 400s, and you would save on nutes space, power, but good luck to ya lets see the pics

Actually, my friend, who also HAVE grown, used a 400w hps and same soil but he didnt use npk, and all the other things he used are we using, he got 90g per plant, and he saw my video and said: theyr much bigger than mine were, so how the f could i've expect 0.5 g per bud ? RIDICULOUS, so please, come with more "comments" and argue ! =)

No one wants to argue with you about your 31 plant set up that we have never seen, nor do we want to repute what "your Friend" did whom we've never met. all we can do is tell you from expierence that math while your looking at plants is not science, are you an expierenced grower than estimate and see what you harvest, then do the math and see where you come in at. OR just continue the tradition of every Newbie that signs up here and Play the GUESS MY YEILD game, and start shit with people giving you thier honest expierence answers...your call rookie....PEACE
