Just a quick Qs about hydro

do i still put my water pump on when the lights are out?? or only for 15 mins every 4 hrs up to 12 hrs untill the lights go out

Avoid irrigation during the dark period, it encourages mold and mildew. Plants use water at a much lower rate during the dark.

Depends what medium you use, how often you flood during the light, and how wet the medium is before the lights turn off..

I use hydroton and flood once during the dark period, and every two hours during "lights on".

Look at and check your plants for signs of dryness; if there aren't any, you're fine, but if they seem to be bone dry before the lights come on, you might wanna consider flooding during the dark or having your last flood cycle be closer to when the lights go out.

ya thanks im growing in clay pellets so theres no absorbtion at all its the ebb and flow system so maybe ill just put it on once during the night, that should be fine shouldnt it?

Yeah, should be - just check your plants and let them tell you.

Also depends on the size of the plants and the containers, but I think one time should be fine.
