Just a post to say hi and introduce myself

Hi everyone Ime from Tasmania Australia I pretty much love growing anything in my garden I can but I have a real love for growing weed always have always will I guess .
Which is kinda funny from the point of view of most people who no me because I stopped smoking it years ago after overindulging way to much in my teenage years .
But I give what I grow to my brother and a couple of friends so it douse not go to waste .

I would love to create my own strain for the world to enjoy one day but I have a long way to go before I no enough to pull that off but I am learning each day .
Did my first indoor grow this year super skunk in soil under a 600w hps and I learned more from that grow than from all my previous outdoor ones . This sight helped me heaps I got two very nice stinky plants out of it . I am going to try growing in perlite this next time so wish me luck . Well thats me and thanks to the people on this sight for all the great info I hope to learn allot more in the future . Good growing all

You need to grow in something besides perlite, the perlite should be mixed with soil by the way And welcome to RIU

Hmm not true.
Ran a SOG operation for a a good while. And all my pots were filled with perlite 35 per tray never had any problems. How would hydroton be different then perlite? besides the density.
Still a loose medium.
It was awesome how light the pots were as well.
Look up Al B. Fuct he uses a material very similar to perlite as well in hit pots
