i sprout my seeds by putting a paper towel down wetting it... setting the seed on it... putting another towel on top and let that towel soak up the water from the bottom one. then put a bowl over it and putting it in a plastic bag and put in a closet with no light for a few days. am i doing it wrong? also... when planting the sprouted seed... should i keep the tip of the sprout above the soil?

the sprout is actually the root and you should plant it down into the soil about an inch and keep it moist but not soaking wet like a pond. just give it time and when you see something come above the dirt, throw your lights on it and it will start seedling phase.
